What to expect from a class?
What do we need to bring?
Everything is provided at Junior Kitchen, all your little chef needs to bring is a good sense of humour and a water bottle with their name on it! We get all the ingredients and provide a container to take home your goods unless we inform you to bring a large container for specific classes. We prepare and setup the kitchen and we do all the cleaning where the mess stays with us!
How safe are the classes?
Very safe! Your little chefs safety is paramount to us here at Junior Kitchen. We want a safe space for children to be able to learn and explore the world of cooking and baking and we risk assess every lesson. The little chefs will use age appropriate equipment and will be fully supervised by a member of our team when trying something new.
COVID-19 Restriction have enforced mask wearing for adults and hand washing is available for all and hand sanitiser station is available for use. Tables and chairs are cleaned after each visit and the children’s work area is cleaned throughout the session.
We ask if you or your child have a temperature or cough that you cancel your session until you are better to attend at a later date. Our website offers a rebooking system for your booking if needed.
Where is Junior Kitchen?
Junior Kitchen currently has two venues! One is in Morley near Leeds and one is in Northgate in Darlington.
Do I stay for the class too?
0ur School Holiday classes only (over 8 Years) are drop off classes unless stated otherwise. We found that this creates the best environment for fun and learning for the children. We encourage parents to stay at all our classes where possible for all ages and can watch from our seated area or help and support your little ones.
Baking Parties we try to restrict the number of parents attending but understand at times that parents will need to stay usually with younger children.
Are the classes mixed ages?
Our little chefs are sorted into two groups. Tots ages from 2 years to 5 years and our weekend sessions 6 year to teen.
Do you have gift cards?
To find out about the gift cards we have available please email – email@juniorkitchen.co.uk
Do you do birthday parties?
Yes! We love to throw parties for your little chefs and adults of all ages
How can I stay up to date with events?
There’s plenty of ways! You can check the website or any of our social media platforms to stay up to date with all our upcoming classes and events!
Do you offer refunds? What is your cancellation policy?
Here at Junior Kitchen, we order our ingredients and we book our staff based on the number of little chefs attending the class. Our classes only have a limited number of spaces for each class which means no one else can purchase a place once all are filled. Due to the operational costs and the fact that all ingredients are all perishable, all ticket purchases are unfortunately final and non-refundable. No-shows or cancellations within 48-hours of the class will NOT be credited as food will have already been purchased and we will have already staffed for the event.
Is Junior Kitchen just for children?
Hygeinic & Healthy
Junior Kitchen is cleaned to a high standard before and after each class our staff go through the entire kitchen and make sure it is cleaned thoroughly ready for the next event.
